I’ve run across several sites in my goji research that quote tests done by a company called Brunswick Laboratories.

They always seem to point to Brunswick’s ORAC values as proof that the goji berry they are trying to sell you has great value as an antioxidant when ingested by humans.

However, Brunswick’s official website says this about ORAC values derived in their testing:

“The ORAC assays are performed in vitro, in the test tube, and therefore do not determine the bioavailability within the body. The high ORAC value indicates that the tested sample possesses a high potency of antioxidant activity chemically. “.

What that means is that they don’t actually study what happens in your body when you drink the berry juice, they simply measuer what happens in a test tube; and what happens in a test tube could be completely different from what happens when you ingest it.
